The Plant of Happiness

This picture comes to us from the George Webb's in Port Washington, WI as Jay wanted me to take this very plant and give it to Pete.  As one might guess, Jay himself was quite happy at the time, and that is why he felt he could share his happiness with others.

Big Juan Plays Big D

Our good friend Big Juan was defensive player of the year at the Pumping Station as we played a little basketball.  As you can tell, Golberg is not exactly impressed by Big Juan's antics.  Then again, Big Juan was merely Big John back in April when this photo was taken.

I Can't Believe He Ate the Whole Thing

Yes, Pete did indeed eat the entire dollar menu one scary afternoon at the Whitewater McDonald's.  The challenge was simple, Pete said he could do it in one hour or less, and by God, he did it.

Coach beats Pete

On a warm day at Jefferson's Meadow Springs Country Club, the course in Pete's backyard, Aaron defeats Pete by a stroke as he fires a career-best 80.  The key shot was a 55 foot birdie putt on the par 5 10th.

Finally the Coach has Come to the Metrodome

During the summer Pete and I took a trip to the venue that has hosted every big event in sports, the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minnesota.  Not only that, the Brewers managed to capture one of their 56 wins on this evening.

Another Fun Summer in the Sun, Today at Miller Park

I always enjoyed the summer working for the playground program.  Hopefully I didn't warp the minds of the kids too much.  In any event, there are many great memories for me from the program, and here is one example.  Also, in case any Willowbrook-ers are reading this, I would like to send shouts out to some of the people that made it fun to go to work, among them AJ, "B", Jack, Kevin, Sam C., Joey, Justin, Steve, Austin, Taylor, "Big" Will, Alex (both), Sam and Nick G., and Angela "Turtle" as well as everyone else, including Beth and Amy.

Fish Day in Port Washington

Here is a picture of me and Mary Jo (although she didn't really notice the camera apparently) in front of the world famous Wilson House.  Actually MJ was hiding from this joker selling some stuffed bird animal, and boy, was he a tool.  While I didn't actually eat any fish on this day, I did sport the lovely fish necklace, so I got in the spirit of things.

Socko Returns!

Perry is always goofy, rarely serious, and here he was being seriously goofy.  If you can follow that logic, you can also believe that a mere 12 hours later this clown would hit nearly every tree on the course at The Mounds.  As for this picture, obviously he is thinking....I don't know what the hell he's thinking (and usually don't).

Don't We Look Spiffy?

Trust me, this was as much fun as it looked.  It was a warm evening in late August, just before another school year was about to get under way.  Here are Jay, myself, Angela, Pete, and Mary Jo all looking like we're having fun....which we were.

Get the Party Started

It was Homecoming Week, and I put together a party that will be talked about at WSUW for semesters to come, although that really had nothing to do with me.  This would be the fateful night that King would smash himself in the head nearly 40 times with a serving tray.  As if that wasn't enough, he also pretended to fire somebody at the station, and had beer poured on his head.  Other activities on this great night included Becca's 'bowl' question, Camisha's "Who invited you?", a game of BD Slammer, a QB challenge between 'The Beav' and I, and the ever infamous claw.  All in all this was easily a top 5 moment of the year nomination.

Are You Ready for some Football?

This was the pre-game team photo the day that WSUW took on Cable 19 in our annual football game.  While Cable 19 was good enough to finally put an end to the radio station's winning streak, it was still a good time, except for Big Juan who lost $50....which paid for the beer at Clark's after the game!

How Sweet

It was nice and refreshing to see Golberg and Camisha take a moment out of their evening to smile all pretty for the camera.

We Are the Champions

The Contenders team photo from the Fall 2002 Co-ed Basketball League.  We would eventually win the league.  Shown here are myself, 'the Beav', Jess, Pete, and Goobs.  Also members of the team were the 'Queen', Camisha, and the best photographer in the league, Golberg.

Clark's Christmas Party/King's Birthday Party

OK, we celebrated both I guess, so call it whatever you want, it doesn't matter.  Since there are too many luminaries to name individually, I will point out that each and every one of the people shown here are good people and I am glad to know all of them.  So from all of us to you, happy whatever it is that you want to celebrate.

Top 10 Dates/Moments of the Year 2002

10.  August 29; Night at the Boar.  This could be a recap of many evenings I have spent at Whitewater, but this evening was a lot of fun.  Any time you can combine Angela, Mary Jo, Jay, Pete and 2 beers you have a winning combination.  Not to mention the walk home at bar time is always good for a few memories, as Pete and I called the majority of his cell phone's list of numbers.

9.  August 19;  Golf at The Mounds.  Usually when I golf poorly I don't have a good time, but between Pete playing well, and Perry hitting the ball literally all over the course (and at every tree) I don't think it would be possible not to list this occassion.  I even got in some pretty good one-liners, and one decent golf shot during a great day in the sun.

8.  October 17;  Party at Clark's house.  This was a day that started poorly, as the radio station's winning streak over TV finally ended, but the party that night was a great time.  Special thanks again to Clark for putting on a great event, and to Big Juan for losing enough money on the game to pay for the refreshments

7.  December 18;  Christmas/Birthday Party.  Clark really puts on a good show when it's time to have a party, and this was no exception.  It started at my place for a while (the Christmas portion), then proceeded to the larger confines of Clark's (for King's birthday).  To paraphrase the great Ric Flair, "we styled and profiled all night long."  The sad portion of the day came that afternoon when I hosted my final edition of HawkTalk.

6.  April 18; Coach's Cookout II.  The second annual Coach's Cookout proved to be another evening of great fun, high comedy, and a rare Brewers win.  Pete is still counting by the ounce, and special thanks to all those that came to the event and made it fun for me.

5.  December 6; UWW defeats Juniata in 5 sets in NCAA Volleyball Final Four.  This was a great night for several reasons.  This was as exciting as sports gets, and I am not even that big of a volleyball fan!  The Warhawks overcome an 0-2 deficit and win a thriller.  The scene downtown that night was awesome.  This was on so many levels what college is all about.

4.  April 25; Softball Day.  It was the annual classic between radio and TV, and what fun it was.  Radio won, as they always have in softball, but that was only half the story.  That night there were numerous memorable things that happened, Big Juan blocked shots at the basketball hoop, Golberg's friend got into it with some girl in a heated and especially humorous exchange of insults, and I got to put a sticker on Becky.

3.  July 28; AC's Birthday Bash.  The second annual summer tailgate party was a lot of fun, and I would like to personally thank everybody that came out to the ball game and made it possible.  Special thanks to Steve-o for coming all the way from Beaver Dam and missing a baseball game to be there.

2.  October 9; Aaron's Party.  What a great night, summarized above under the picture.  This night had so many classic moments that I know I will never forget it.  In the main event you still have to give credit to King for what he was able to do to a serving tray, but that was but one of the great highlights of this memorable occassion.

1.  June 29-30; Weekend in Minnesota.  It should almost be illegal to have this much fun in one 48 hour period.  The trip to Minnesota was awesome, and I have Pete to thank for making it possible.  The Brewers won at the dome, I made money at the casino, and it was an experience at the Vu.  Not to mention all the comedy on the trip from previous WSUW programming, and the inability to find batteries and find a way to listen to the tapes.
